They sit within the Humanities area of Learning and Experience, but include links to Languages, Literacy and Communication, and to Mathematics and Numeracy.
The workshops focus on the lives and experiences of people living in South Wales in the past, and every attempt is made to link the content directly to the school’s community.
A visit to the Archives provides pupils with the experience of using primary sources from our collection, and is an excellent opportunity for learning and developing new skills outside the classroom.

Hughesovka: The Welsh in Russia, 1870s-1917
Discover more about the iron works established by John Hughes of Merthyr Tydfil during the 1870s in what is now Donetsk, Ukraine.
