Join Keith Moger and discover more about the history and development of Cardiff’s hospitals, many of which have now changed in use or disappeared. Whether it is as a patient, visitor or member of staff, many people have memories of Lansdowne, Glan Ely, St David’s, Cardiff Royal Infirmary and the other institutions which have provided Cardiffians with hospital care over the years.
Keith Moger worked in the National Health Service for over 40 years, serving most of his career as a senior manager in Cardiff. During this substantial involvement, he worked at or was responsible for the management of most of the hospitals in Cardiff, including ten years as the chief administrator of the University Hospital of Wales. Since retirement he has taken a particular interest in the history of these institutions.
The talk will be accompanied by a display of documents from the Glamorgan Archives collection.
