Join Stephen K Jones and Stephen Rowson and discover more about George Overton, as we continue to mark the 200th anniversary of the first locomotive-drawn passenger rail service. George Overton was one of South Wales’ most significant early civil engineers, and it was his survey of 1821 that enabled the Stockton and Darlington Railway to obtain its first Act of Parliament.
